Meetings, Functions & Marquee

The Chequers is situated in the South  Leicestershire village of  Swinford, ½  mile from junction  19 of the M1 on it’s interchange  with the M6  & A14, also within  1 mile of the 16th  century  Stanford Hall & its caravan park, thus, because of its geographical situation, is a popular meeting place. Facilities available for Small Group Meetings (up to 20 Delegates depending on format).

All Day Hire (9am-5pm) to include tea,coffee & biscuits on arrival,mid-morning & afternoon or Part Day Hire as required both to include;

  • Jugs of water – Pens & Paper- Flip Chart
  • WI- FI available
  • The following equipment is available Projector, Screen T.V. Video, DVD & leads

In addition Croissants & Danish Pastries on Arrival or Mid Morning & Lunchtime Finger Buffet can be provided at extra cost, contact us for more information.We also have our Marquee during the warmer months which can be hired for a variety of events find out more below

 

Summer Marquee

At the Chequers during the warmer months we have our marquee installed next to our lawned gardens which can be used for a variety of events and functions.
As well as being a ideal place for a wedding reception https://onhealthy.net (also our village church is opposite us) it can be used for a variety of other events;

Menus

Our menu contains traditional British Pub Food such as pies, steaks & fish dishes, as well as pizza and a selection of curries. There is also a lighter bite menu for those with less appetite.

Bar & Garden

The Chequers caters for all ages and possesses a large garden with a variety of children’s play equipment and toddler facilities. We also serve a range of lagers, draft ales and fine wines.

History & Activities

There are many things to do and visit around Swinford and find out more about our local history. We also have many old images within the pub and these are on public display.
